The 2011-2012 schedule is set, the roster is drafted and Riverside Arena has just poured ice for the year.
The Austin Bruins are excited to be back in action for their second season in town. The players report today to Riverside Arena.
The Bruins have many events planned before the regular season starts:
• First pre-season exhibition games Sept. 9 and 10 at Aberdeen, S.D.
• Bowling with the Bruins event Sept. 24. Registration begins at noon and bowling at 12:30 p.m. Players will be on hand as the team unveils jerseys for 2011-2012.

• "Paint the Rink Pink" tickets will go on sale at Bowling with the Bruins.
• Bruins Blast allows fans to be the first to hear Bruins news by getting text messages sent to their cellphones.

The team will again strive to play an active role in Austin and surrounding communities. The members will kick off their Healthy Habits program on Sept. 27 at Grand Meadow schools.
