Jarod White, Jr., pole vault, Pine Island: White landed fifth at state in the pole vault in 2019 with a 14-feet clearance. He has already cleared 14-7 this season and is the odds-on favorite to be a state champion.

Kyler Bade, Sr., 400, Plainview-Elgin-Millville: Bade burst onto the scene as a sophomore, winning the 400 state title in 50.15. He ran a 49.61 in claiming the Section 1A meet.

Jett Thoreson, Jr., pole vault, St. Charles: Thoreson was just a freshman in 2019 and already coming up with some of the top pole vault heights in Section 1A.

Luke O’Hare, Sr., distance races, Rushford-Peterson/Houston: The senior might be the top long distance runner in Section 1A. He was eighth two years ago at state in the 1,600 (4:32.89) and 10th in the 3,200 (9:55.20).

Leo Silha, Sr., throws, Plainview-Elgin-Millville: Also a standout running back this fall for P-E-M, Silha is coming on strong in the shot put and the discus. He’s already thrown 51 feet in the shot and 151 feet in the discus this season.
