Volleyball | Century beats Farmington for third straight win

Rochester Century rebounded from a loss in the opening game and beat Farmington 3-1 in a non-conference volleyball match Tuesday night at the Century gym.

Century won its third straight and improved to 10-3 overall. The Panthers are already within one win of last season's total when they finished 11-16.

Junior outside hitter Morgan Hazelton was unstoppable for the Panthers with 19 kills, and Hannah Weidman had a team-high 13 digs. Olivia Rieck pitched in with five blocks and eight kills.

"Morgan Hazelton played outstanding tonight along with Olivia Rieck," Century coach Abby Barrone said. "I felt these two stepped up and were leaders tonight."

Jordyn Lange was Century's passing leader and Sydney Kruisselbrink "did a great job" leading the offense, Barrone added.
