Volleyball | Century earns first league win

WINONA — Century collected its first Big Nine Conference victory of the season by beating Winona 3-1 in  volleyball on Thursday.

The Panthers (6-5, 1-2 Big Nine) rallied to defeat Winona (9-3, 2-2 Big Nine) 24-26, 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

"It was nice to go on the road and pick up a conference win tonight," Century coach Bob Koerner said. "We served tough and played well at the net. We were able to control the tempo during the match which allow for an effective transition game."

Catherine Plevak led Century with 12 kills and Anna Wagner added 10. Danielle Priestley had 37 set assists and Paige Olson had 20 digs to go along with seven kills.
