AUSTIN — Rochester Lourdes opened the volleyball season Thursday with a sweep on the road.
Lourdes swept Austin in a non-conference match, 25-18, 25-16, 25-19.
It is always good to get your first win on your first opportunity," said Lourdes head coach Ryan Friedhoff. "The girls played really hard and earned a good win against a very solid Austin team."
No statistics were provided for either team.
We passed better than I expected us to this early in the season and that helped us to dictate pace on offense," Friedhoff noted.
