Winona teen meets Globetrotter after 2 amazing shots

LA CROSSE, Wis. — A Minnesota eighth-grader who sank two length-of-the-court basketball shots attracted the attention of a Harlem Globetrotter known for his own theatrics.

The La Crosse Tribune (http://bit.ly/1lHVssj ) says 14-year-old Easton Gamoke of Winona, sank a game-winning shot from near his own baseline during a youth basketball game in January. And when he later demonstrated the shot for a TV crew, he sank it again.

That drew the attention of the Globetrotters' Thunder Law, who owns the record for longest basketball shot made — 109 feet, 9 inches.

Law and Gamoke met Monday at the La Crosse YMCA, where Law was hosting a basketball mini-camp. Law says he just had to meet the teen because they both have the same shot.

Gamoke says it was "so cool" to meet Law.
