Rochester Community and Technical College had five players reach double figures in scoring en route to its third consecutive women's basketball victory.
Nathalie Ratliff led the way for RCTC with 24 points as the Yellowjackets beat the Luther College JV 86-72 on Tuesday at the UCR Regional Sports Center. Ratliff, who was 4-for-5 from 3-point range, added six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
The balanced Yellowjackets had four other players hit double figures: Johanna Bungum (22 points, seven assists, 9-for-9 free throws); Justine Gonzalez (14 points, five rebounds, four steals, 4-for-4 free throws); Jessica Foster (10 points, four assists) and Lakin Koski (10 points).
The game featured three former Byron players and three former Hayfield players. RCTC's Foster and Bungum are from Hayfield, while Koski and Reed Klunder (six rebounds) are Byron graduates. Luther's Bhrett Zhanle (five points) is a Hayfield native and Brynne Stellner (seven points) is from Byron.
RCTC shot 50 percent from the field (30 of 60), 43 percent from 3-point range (6 of 14) and 80 percent from the free-throw line (20 of 25). The Yellowjackets outrebounded Luther 37-34 and forced 26 turnovers, the same number they committed.

"That was a really good team that we beat," said RCTC coach Steve Hucke, whose team has now won three consecutive games. "They made us earn everything."
RCTC (3-5 overall) led 28-20 after one quarter, 49-40 at halftime and 69-56 after three quarters.
The Yellowjackets play at Central Lakes on Friday and at Fond du Lac on Saturday.
