RALEIGH, N.C. — Amanda Zahui B. posted a double-double including nine clutch free throws down the stretch to pace the University of Minnesota women's basketball team to a 60-55 win at North Carolina State Wednesday night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Zahui B. finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds, and the Gophers won their second straight to improved to 7-1 overall.
It was the 22nd career double-double and fourth of the season for Zahui B. which ranks fifth in program history.
Rachel Banham also scored 21 for Minnesota, and she finished one rebound short of a double-double with a season-high nine rebounds. She made three three-pointers and now needs three more to claim Minnesota's program record.
Freshman guard Carlie Wagner added five points and five rebounds in 12 minutes.
