Women's College Basketball: Second-half lead slips away from RCTC

Madison Area Tech rallied from an eight-point deficit at the half to defeat Rochester Community and Technical College 75-66 in junior college women's basketball on Tuesday.

RCTC led 39-31 before visiting Madison rallied. Madison outrebounded RCTC 56-40 and forced 31 turnovers while committing 25. Madison scored 26 points off of turnovers and had 18 second-chance points to just four for the Yellowjackets.

"Our girls played hard the whole game, we just have to clean some things some up and rebound and play better defense," RCTC coach Steve Hucke said.

Rachel Doll led RCTC with 22 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots. But she fouled out with about five minutes to play.

"That hurt us," Hucke said.

Addison Cross had 10 points and six rebounds for the Yellowjackets while Audra Durhman added nine points on a trio of 3-pointers.

RCTC shot 42 percent from the floor.

Gabrielle Hood led Madison with 16 points

RCTC (1-4) is off until Dec. 6. when it hosts Fond du Lac
