Angeline Dittfach, age 97, passed away Oct. 11, 2019, surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Rochester.

Angeline was born April 30, 1922, to Henry and Elsa (Henn) Hinck at their rural Oak Center Farm. She attended Oak Center School and was confirmed at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church.

She married Albert H. Dittfach March 3, 1945. They lived for a short time in New Orleans, St. Paul, Goodhue and Lake City before purchasing a farm near Oak Center, where they lived almost 50 years. After Albert died in 2000, she moved to Lake City.

Angeline was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, and music in general and she was an avid Twins fan. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Angeline is survived by a son, David (Marian) of Oak Center; six daughters, Susan Bunnell of Mountainair, N.M., Bonnie (Dennis) Munkberg of Redding, Calif., Sara (Robert) Bedtke of St. Charles, Betty (Richard) Steffenhagen of Lake City, Dana (Galyn) Grad of Rochester, Darla (Steven) Lovejoy of Apple Valley; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bernie Hinck of New Richmond, Wis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; a sister, Phyllis Krueger; and five brothers, Harris, Lewis, Herbert, Robert and Gordon Hinck.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Nathan Cordes officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery, Lake City. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church. Online condolences may be placed at
