The funeral service for Ann Laqua will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in West Albany - rural Millville, with Father John Wilmot officiating. Burial to follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.

Ann Rose Laqua, 88, of Millville, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the Mayo Clinic Health System - Lake City Care Center, where she resided for a short time. She was born Aug. 14, 1930, at home near Gillford Township in Wabasha County, to Herman and Clara (Sexton) Laqua.

Ann grew up in the rural Millville area and farmed on the family farm. She farmed with Rudy Stensrud for many years on her farm. Ann liked to go for rides through the countryside, she especially enjoyed being outdoors and tending to her gardens. Ann drove school bus for Wabasha and Lake City schools, loved spoiling kids, telling stories and looking at pictures. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Ann is survived by a special grand-niece, Sarah Latham of Mindoro, Wis.; and a good friend, Christopher Adler of Lake City; a sister, Alice Majerus of Lake City; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in West Albany - rural Millville and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
