Constance L. “Connie” Stelzner, age 73, of Pine Island, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at her home in Pine Island.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Church of St. Michael in Pine Island, with Father Randal Kasel celebrating the Mass. Private family burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Mass on Thursday at the church.

Constance Lorraine Bolen was born on Aug. 29, 1945, in Indianapolis, to Roy and Jessie Mabel (née Monday) Bolen. Connie grew up in Paragon, Ind., and attended school in New Winchester, Ind., both communities in west central Indiana. On Oct. 17, 1970, she married Bradley K. Stelzner. They lived in Indianapolis for a short time before moving to Amo, Ind. Connie and Brad worked at the IBM plant in Greencastle, Ind., until that plant closed in 1987. Connie and Brad transferred to the IBM plant in Rochester. While working at IBM, they made their home in Pine Island. In 1994, they transferred to San Jose, Calif. Later, they moved back to Pine Island and worked at different jobs in Rochester.

Connie enjoyed raising flowers and tending her flower gardens, she also was an avid reader and enjoyed riding around Pine Island on her red tricycle and attending flea markets and antiquing.

Connie was a member of the Church of St. Michael.

Connie is survived by her husband, Brad; sons, Ryan Stelzner of Minneapolis, and Matt Stelzner of Little Canada; sister, Ellen Oremus of Caldwell, Idaho; and her beloved dog, Teddy.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society, Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota or Church of St. Michael.
