The funeral service for Donna Mae Kramer will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church, 109 Main Street in Hayfield, with the Rev. Zachary Wilson and the Rev. Charlie Talcott co-officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
Donna Mae Kramer, 85, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, 2013, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Donna was born April 2, 1928, the daughter of Leo and Alice (Lewison) Mussman in Claremont. She grew up on a dairy farm in Claremont and attended country school until 8th grade. She graduated from Owatonna High School, and as a young lady she worked as a waitress. Donna was united in marriage to Donavan Kramer on Sept. 6, 1948, in Claremont.
Donna enjoyed dancing, cooking, camping and was active in church activities. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church as a honorary member of the United Presbyterian Women. Donna and Don enjoyed watching their children and grandchildren participate in various sporting activities. They were a prominent fixture in the bleachers at Hayfield High School sporting events for decades.
Donna is survived by her husband, Donavan Kramer, Hayfield; sons, Terry (Kathy) Kramer, Crosby; Tim Kramer, St. Paul; Tom (LaVae) Kramer, Hayfield; and Ted (Jane) Kramer, Hayfield; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Duane (Mary Lou) Mussman, Dodge Center; Don (Pat) Mussman, Stewartville; and Dale (Nancy) Mussman, Claremont; two sisters, Ila (Louis) Wagner, Rochester; and Sharon (John) Tuerk, Owatonna.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 Second St. N.W., in Hayfield, and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
