Harry M. Timm, 81, of Goodhue, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at his home with his family by his side.

Harry Marvin Timm was born Sept. 4, 1938, in rural Pine Island to Walter and Amelia (King) Timm. He spent his early childhood years growing up in rural Pine Island on the family farm and attended country school and Pine Island school. Harry was enlisted in the Marines from 1957 to 1962 at Camp Pendleton, San Diego.

On June 3, 1961, Harry married Sharon Elizabeth Gergen in Alton, Iowa. Harry worked at ROMAC in Rochester from 1962 to 1973. In 1970, Harry and Sharon purchased their farm in Goodhue and in 1973, they started milking cows full-time. They retired from dairy farming in 2004 and continued cattle and crop farming until the present.

Harry enjoyed farming most of his life. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, raising his German Shepherd dogs and watching the Vikings games.

Harry is survived by his wife, Sharon of Goodhue; three children, Kenny Timm of Goodhue, Brenda (Eric) Stelter of Red Wing, and Carla (Mark) Brunholzl of Lake City; three grandchildren, Alex Brunholzl of Minneapolis, Drew Brunholzl of Stuart, Fla., and Kierstin Stelter of St. Paul; and one brother, Albin (Bud) Timm, Sr. of Old Monroe, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ruby Wilson.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota, with Rev. Thomas McCabe officiating. Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 and one hour prior to the service, all at the funeral home.
