John loved poking around outside and renovating multiple homes throughout his life. He was known as the “fix-it guy” and has helped many family, friends, and friends of friends with their multitude of projects.

John was a teaser and enjoyed playing with his five grandchildren. John was also a very caring, compassionate person and loved doing anything for anyone. His silly smile and playful attitude will be greatly missed. He was a member of St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, Nashwauk, Minn., and the Knights of Columbus.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Shirley Stangl; and his in-laws, Wallace and Ruth Gardinier.
