Judith Kay Hanson, 72, died at her home in Kasson on Jan. 1, 2019.
Judith was born May 22, 1946, to Alfred and Ruth (Sargeant) Hanson.
She graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School in 1964. She went on to Winona State College and earned an elementary education teaching degree. She taught for one year in Olivia. She then moved to Inver Grove Heights and worked for the State of Minnesota before moving back to Kasson to care for her mother.
Judith loved doing crafts and making things for others. She was an expert in doing genealogy. She helped family and friends with their genealogy work. She traveled to many places doing her genealogy work. She was related to the Ingall family on her mother’s side of the family. She attended many concerts of her favorite singers, especially Ray Stevens. Judith was very proud of her Norwegian heritage.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ronald.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kasson, with Pastor Jacob Hanson of the Kasson United Methodist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
