Lois Anne Butterfield, 90, of West Concord, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, at Fairview Care Center.
She was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Faribault, the daughter of Peter and Joanne (Langslag) Reuvers. Lois graduated from Faribault High School. She married Francis Kiel on May 29, 1947. He preceded her in death six years after their marriage. Lois married Gordon Butterfield on Aug. 16, 1957, in Faribault. The couple moved to West Concord that same year. She worked for veterinarians Dr. Scarr and Dr. Casey prior to her 21-year career as a clerk for the City of West Concord.
Lois was an active member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, participating in the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, shopping and fishing. Lois loved having coffee with the ladies in West Concord. Her greatest joy was attending the events of her children and grandchildren and always had treats or a stop at Ginny's Drive-In for them.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Butterfield of West Concord; daughters, Joan (and Kevin) Kubacki of Muskego, Wis., Judy (and Dan) Hutton of West Concord, Laurie (and Steven) Wampler of Rochester, Beth (and Steven) McCool of Kasson; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Neumann of Rochester; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by first husband, a daughter, two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord Chapel, on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Peter Schuster officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or to the donor's choice.
