Rosanna Cecilia O'Neil (Nigon), age 99, of Rochester passed away on Aug. 28, 2019, at Medford Senior Care Center in Medford.

Rosanna was born Dec. 10, 1919, in rural Eyota to Michael and Katherine (Meyer) Nigon.

She graduated from Rochester High School in 1937. On June 23, 1949, she married Paul J. O'Neil at Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Rochester. Rosanna worked as a clinic technician at Mayo Clinic for 30 years before retiring on Dec. 15, 1981. She will be remembered for her love of cross-stitching, playing cards, and volunteering with the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Saint Marys Hospital.

Rosanna is survived by three daughters, Paulene (Walter) Fleuchaus of Mount Pleasant, Wis., Patricia Kolb of Faribault, and Sharon Remmen of Cordes Junction, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, David (Flory) Brodek, Michelle Brodek, Patrick (Jennifer) Kolb, Peter (Alisha) Kolb, Timothy (Robin) Neumann, Bob Neumann, Michael O'Neil, and Elizabeth (Anthony) Greiner; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Kruger of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son, John O'Neil; parents; four sisters, Marie Nigon, Agnes Zeimetz, Florence Mitchell, and Helen O'Neil; and two brothers, William Nigon and Leo Nigon.

The funeral service for Rosanna will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, with Fr. Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the River Park Chapel. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Calvary Cemetery in Chatfield.
