Sharon Marie (Louks) Young, age 53, of Rochester, passed away Jan. 17, 2018, at Saint Marys Hospital, of complications with the flu.
Sharon was born to Julie (Bergerson) and Roger "Butch" Louks on Dec. 27, 1964, at the Owatonna Hospital. Sharon graduated in 1983, from Hayfield High School.
Sharon loved her husband, Jon Michael; her children; little dog, Tank; all of her grandbabies; music; and all of the kids she has worked with over the years. Children brought her such joy. Her last job being a paraprofessional at Rochester Beacon Academy. Working with special needs children was her passion her entire life.
Sharon also enjoyed music, shopping, adventures, and trips around Minnesota. She loved a good nap, but her most favorite being her joy of Christmas, that was spread across her community. She was always involved in outreach programs and donations needed. She was always the first one to lend a helping hand to anyone even a complete stranger. Sharon leaving us will leave a large hole in many hearts, as she touched many lives.
Sharon leaves her husband, Jon Michael Young of Rochester; her children, Kelsie (McCray) Swain (Keith) of Buckeye, Ariz., Tyler McCray (Mary) of Rochester, and Sarah Theide of Chesapeake, Va.; grandchildren, Keyton, Keelie, and Kamren Swain, and Addie McCray; stepgrandchildren, Robbie and Braiden; parents, Julie (Mike) Enright of Hayfield, and Roger "Butch" Louks of Park Rapids; grandmother, Genelle Bergerson, and uncle, John Bergerson, both of Hayfield; and aunt, Patti (Mike) Chilson of Mantorville. She is also survived by Jon's mother, Patricia VanDorn; brother-in-law, Timm (Julie) Young; and sister-in-law, Kelly Kristine (Eirn) Young.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Pat Bergerson; paternal grandparents, Virgil and Florence Louks; uncles, Craig and Robert Bergerson; previous stepdad, Marvin Klein; and dear previous parents-in-law, Art and Marilyn McCray; as well as grandmother-in-law, Sally VanDorn.
