Timothy David Fox, age 48, died of congestive heart failure on July 3, 2019, at Saint Marys Hospital, Rochester. Tim had dealt with congenital heart defects all of his life.

Tim was born on Dec. 18, 1970, in Red Wing. He grew up in Goodhue and graduated from Goodhue High School in 1990. He married Valerie Lee of Red Wing on Oct. 2, 1993. They later divorced. The couple had two children, Catherine and Ethan. In 2001, the family moved into the house he built in rural Red Wing. He enjoyed his work as a carpenter/cabinet maker.

In spite of his health issues, Tim enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. He always had a smile and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his children, wood working, the outdoors and throwing darts.

He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Fox of Red Wing; his son, Ethan Fox of Lake City; his parents, Larry and Janelle Fox of Goodhue; brothers, Corey (Pam) Fox of Hampton, and Dean (Karen) Fox of Rochester; and sister, Julie (Micah) Hoyt of Elmwood, Wis.; five nieces, three nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerauld and Evelyn Berg of Red Wing, and Harold and Delores Fox of Vasa.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, in the Minneola Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 13628 County 50 Blvd., Goodhue, MN, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. family prayer service.

An afternoon Celebration of Life will also be held that day, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Brewster's Bar & Grill, 115 Fourth St. South, Cannon Falls, MN.

In lieu of flowers, family would prefer memorials for the American Heart Fund.
