Hot days arrive for Independence Day weekend

We'll top off in the 80s today and tomorrow with highs near 90 degrees Saturday through Monday.

Dry and hot days can be expected for a large portion of the region for this holiday weekend. Winds will be out of the south-southwest on Saturday around 5-15 mph. Plenty of sunshine with highs near 90 in the afternoon. Sunday will feature a few more clouds, hot temperatures, and more wind out of the southwest. It could get a little gusty Sunday afternoon. Our next chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives on Monday.
